Greetings PGTAOSA Friends!
I hope this e-mail finds you well. We are excited to announce our 2020-2021 Season!
As music educators, I know we are preparing for a different school year. Please know that the Pittsburgh Golden Triangle Chapter is here to support YOU.
This season we are going VIRTUAL for our annual workshop series. As a board, we have decided that this is in the best interest of our membership and presenters traveling to Pittsburgh from across the USA.
We will continue to offer the high quality of professional development that you have come to expect from PGTAOSA. We are excited to offer opportunities to study with the following nationally known presenters:
Jean Hersey September 19, 2020 “Orff Without Instruments; Fun Activities for Any Budget”
Cyndee Giebler October 17, 2020 – “Mining The Volumes”
Sue Mueller February 20, 2021 – “Creating A Learner-Centered Orff Schulwerk Classroom”
Melissa Blum March 13, 2021 – “It’s Not Just For The Big Kids! A “Drumming Up The Fun!” Sampler”
Registration for this season’s workshops will be available on www.pgtaosa.org. Payment for the workshops can be made through PayPal on our website or by printing a Membership Form and mailing a check to our treasurer, Erik Kolodziej. An e-mail will be sent next week when the website is ready for online registration.
In addition to our excellent presenters, we are pleased to provide a FREE networking opportunity for all music educators. We will be hosting a Zoom Round Table discussion giving music educators an opportunity to brainstorm and connect about teaching in the coming school year.
The Round Table Zoom Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 7:00 PM. We are asking for registration to our Round Table to set up our Zoom to best serve your needs as valued members and friends of PGTAOSA. Please use this Google Form to REGISTER for the PGTAOSA Round Table discussion:
Please share this e-mail with any colleagues or friends. Our desire is to grow stronger as a chapter and connect with many more teachers through the virtual setting.
We hope that you will join us for these professional development opportunities as we navigate new horizons in music education.
